DHZ Electric Motorcycle Warranty

Six-month warranty

All new DHZ electric motorcycle models purchased from MONO MOTO carry a six-month manufacturer’s warranty from the purchase date, covering manufacturing and component defects during normal use.

MONO MOTO does not offer an extended warranty.

Who provides the warranty?

DHZ MOTO PTY LTD provides the six-month manufacturer’s warranty. MONO MOTO is your contact point for warranty enquiries and will coordinate assessment and any necessary repairs with DHZ. Where appropriate, MONO MOTO may carry out the approved repair work. This arrangement does not limit MONO MOTO’s responsibilities as the seller under Australian Consumer Law.

Who can claim?

The six-month manufacturer’s warranty applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable. This condition does not limit any rights available under Australian Consumer Law.

What is covered?

The six-month warranty covers manufacturing and component defects, including defects in the battery and charger. Accepted warranty repairs include replacement parts and labour at no charge. We will arrange repair or replacement as appropriate, without limiting any other remedy required by law.

What is not covered by the six-month warranty?

Normal wear from use, including wear to tyres, brake pads, chains and sprockets, is not a manufacturing defect. The warranty also excludes damage caused by accidents, misuse, incorrect assembly, inadequate maintenance, unsuitable water exposure, modifications or repairs that cause the fault.

A worn or modified component does not automatically exclude an unrelated manufacturing defect. Claims are assessed according to the cause of the problem and your legal rights.

Assembly requirements

Final assembly is required for Box Buy purchases. Bikes purchased assembled require no customer assembly.

Follow the assembly instructions supplied with your bike and complete all required checks before riding.

Servicing and maintenance requirements

Customers must follow the DHZ Electric Motorcycle Maintenance Guide and the instructions applicable to their bike, including pre-ride checks, regular maintenance, and battery and charger care.

Keep records of maintenance, servicing and repairs, together with any relevant receipts. These will need to be provided to MONO MOTO as part of the DHZ manufacturer’s warranty assessment process.

These requirements do not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

How to request warranty support

Contact MONO MOTO with:

  • Your name, contact details and proof of purchase.
  • The model, purchase date and serial or frame number, if available.
  • A description of the problem and when it first occurred.
  • Clear photographs or video, where safe to obtain.
  • Relevant servicing and maintenance records, and details of modifications.

Email sales@monomoto.com.au or call 1800 54 64 24.

Please stop using the bike if a fault could affect safety. Contact us before arranging repairs or returning the bike or battery so we can arrange an assessment. We may request further information. Physical inspection is required as explained below.

Physical inspection required

To assess a manufacturer’s warranty claim, the bike must be returned to MONO MOTO for physical inspection, unless we agree to another assessment arrangement or an alternative is required under Australian Consumer Law.

Photographs, videos and descriptions help us understand the reported problem but do not replace the required inspection. Inspection allows us to determine whether the fault is consistent with a manufacturing or component defect, normal wear, accident damage, misuse, incorrect assembly or inadequate maintenance.

Contact MONO MOTO before returning the bike so we can arrange an appointment.

If the bike is not made available after reasonable inspection arrangements have been offered, we may be unable to complete the assessment until access is provided. This does not automatically cancel the warranty or remove your Australian Consumer Law rights.

Assessment, repairs and transport

MONO MOTO will liaise with DHZ to assess your manufacturer’s warranty claim and advise the outcome and proposed remedy. Where appropriate, MONO MOTO may carry out approved repairs. You can deal with us directly rather than being required to contact DHZ yourself. Your Australian Consumer Law rights do not depend on DHZ approving a manufacturer’s warranty claim.

Return transport costs are the customer’s responsibility, except where Australian Consumer Law requires otherwise.

For any reimbursement required by law, email your claim details and transport receipts to sales@monomoto.com.au. Any proposed charge for an inspection or work not covered will be explained before you agree to it.

Australian Consumer Law

This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
